We’re looking for ONE natural storytelling social media content KING or QUEEN to join our team for the long haul here at Sail Away Media.

As the Content Manager, you will own the entire content strategy for both our internal brand as well as our roster of clients (15-20 accounts at a time). You’ll be in charge of developing content pillars aligned to the customer journey and creating unique organic content and ad creative that cuts through the noise and gets seen on social. 

As our Content Manager, you’ll deep dive into the mindset of our client’s customers to create so much value for them that they’re begging to buy now.

The perfect candidate has been around the block with social media. If you know your Reels from your TikToks, and your content creators from your influencers… We’d love to hear from you.

Sail Away Media specializes in social media management, Facebook & Instagram ads, email marketing, and online funnels – one of the most sought after industries, however – it’s fast, it’s always changing, and it is full on if you’ve never experienced it before, for this reason the ideal candidate will have:

– Proven experience executing organic and paid social media strategies and influencer marketing
– Ideally have experience working within a remote agency or media company
– Have exceptional writing skills
– Be able to think quickly on their feet


  • Bring our clients’ brand voices to life every day through well-written, thought-provoking social content, captions, email newsletters, and video concepts/scripts
  • Work in tandem with our Account Managers, Social Media Manager/Graphic Designer, and Virtual Assistant to plan and maintain each client’s monthly content calendar for various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and email marketing
  • Craft video concepts and scripts that provide value across multiple platforms – including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and paid ad placements
  • Recruit content creators for filming creative
  • Handle larger account’s outbound social media engagement strategy by leaving thought-provoking comments under trending posts and hashtags
  • Conduct research to ensure the content your writing is up to date
  • Proofread all graphics and videos designed by our social media manager
  • Ensure all deadlines are met and quality is maintained on deliverables
  • Work closely with the Sail Away Media team virtually using Slack, Asana, and on 3x weekly team Zoom huddles

Role KPIs:

  • Have all client content ready to go by the first of each month (for the month ahead, ready for designer to start creating visual assets)
  • Complete social media captions by the 20th of each month
  • Develop and maintain Sail Away Media weekly email marketing newsletter and blog post
  • Support client’s growth goals by ensuring we hit KPIs (lead cost, follower growth, engagement rate, video views, etc.)
  • Respond to team within Slack with any questions in a timely manner

Qualifications and Characteristics:

  • Exceptional writer and communicator
  • Passionate about social media marketing
  • Understanding of basic SEO strategies and techniques
  • Tech-savvy, you enjoy navigating new apps and learning new things
  • Self-starter, you don’t need your hand held to meet deadlines
  • Active Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn user
  • Extremely organized and deadline driven
