The Art of Launching a Successful Website

Dec 21, 2017 | Web Design

It’s nearly 2018 and everyone knows you need a website to be taken seriously as a business. So you just spent thousands of dollars launching a beautiful site you’re really proud of. But if you have no idea what it’s doing for you, you might be wondering why you jumped on the bandwagon…

Track and Analyze Your Traffic

One of the most important things you should be doing is tracking the analytics on your website. There are several ways this can be done, and it’s really easy to get set up. Here are a few of my favorite tools:

  • Google Analytics
  • Facebook Pixel
  • Hotjar

Using these tools on your website will allow you to see who is visiting, where they are coming from, what devices they are viewing from, what pages they are spending the most time on, any areas that may need improvement, and on and on…

You can even set up daily, weekly, or monthly email reminders to send you a quick summary of your site’s traffic. Once you’ve got this all set up, you might notice you’re only getting about 12 hits a month (all from you and your co-workers). What now?

Grow Your Audience

There are A LOT of ways to increase traffic to a new website. And different people will tell you different things. Content marketing. SEO. Facebook Ads. Google Adwords. Yes, these all work, but it’s easy to spend a lot of money fast if you do it the wrong way.

It truly depends on what your goals are and what the main point of your website is. It’s important to come up with a strategic marketing plan and take it one step at a time.

If you’re interested in installing any of these tools on your website or want to book a free strategy session tailored to your business lock one in here >> https://meetme.so/sailawaymedia-strategy-call
